RIGA CENTRAL TERMINAL, LLC

Riga Central Terminal, LLC. (RCT) is one of the largest stevedoring companies in Latvia, which is located in the Riga harbour, and has been providing terminal services since 1996. RCT is a part of the Riga Commercial Port group. Currently we operate on a 67.6 ha area (including the area with customs warehouse status), with 13 berths and considerable experience handling:

• Dry-Bulk cargo;
• Liquid cargo (directly);
• General cargo;
• Containers;
• Cars;
• RO-RO and Cruise ships.

RCT offers forwarding and stevedoring services.

In the year 2008 RCT handled 7,9 million tons of dry-bulk cargo, general cargo, and containers.
RCT works according to ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.

Technical information of RCT terminal:

• 13 berths with a total length of 2424 meters, with a maximum depth of 11.7 meters
• 29 portal cranes with a lifting capacity up to 40 tons (maximum cargo weight: up to 75 tons)
• 100 units of mobile equipment with lifting capacity of up to 45 tons
• Warehouses: 59 800 sq meters
• Open storage area: 158 000 sq meters
• Load capacity on 1 sq meter on piers: up to 4 tons
• Load capacity on 1 sq meter in the rest of the territory: up to 15 tons
• Total length of railway access road : 19.5 km
• Simultaneous railcar capacity in terminal: 400 railcars
• Maximum ship carrying capacity: 55 000 tons
• Terminal working hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
